This is me

cimg2331-small.jpg I’m Chris and this is my blog.

What else to say? I’m 34 years old and been with computers longer than I can even imagine. I came a long way from Spectrum (anyone remember those?) then a Comodore 128D, which I sold only 3 weeks after getting it in favour of an IBM PC. Why I sold the Commodore? I tell you, I was not able to cnnect to Bielefeld PBX system with the Commodore. So I got myself an IBM PC that was at the age of 12 or 13 or so – can’t remeber exactly.

Finally, that is today, I use a Mac. I loved my first Powerbook that I only got 4 years ago. I was with Linux for over 12 years before that and always tried using it as my desktop system. But when I first encountered Mac OS X Panther – Bhamm! Now I use Linux on my servers and Mac OS X on my desktop. That is the way to go. Redmond? Bah, that is not even an OS, it’s a disease. Badly programmed and horrible design – I mean, what do they think, that burning colors, corroding your eyes, with an infantile background image is enough to make everyone not see just what a waste of time using it really is?

Well anyway, if someone thinks he/she can live with it – go ahead use it. But please don’t complain or cry out if some virus is getting you, or your system is leaving you in the dark the moment you need it most – never happens on a Mac ;-)
